Kids Place FAQ
When can I return to service after an illness?
In alignment with the California Department of Public Health’s guidance for K-12 Schools for staying home when getting sick and getting testing (section 4.c), we ask that individuals stay at home until they have met the following criteria to return to in-person services:
At least 24 hours have passed since resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications; and
Other symptoms have improved; and
They have a negative test for SARS-CoV-2, OR a healthcare provider has provided documentation that the symptoms are typical of their underlying chronic condition (e.g., allergies or asthma) OR a healthcare provider has confirmed an alternative named diagnosis (e.g., Streptococcal pharyngitis, Coxsackie virus), OR at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset.
Guidelines may change at any time; thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Someone in my household tested positive for Covid-19. Do I need to notify church?
Contact Us immediately if you, your child or someone in your household has tested positive for Covid-19 within 72 hours of attending service
We also ask that you contact the individuals you believe you were in close contact with during the in-person worship service. If you do not feel comfortable reaching out to the individuals we can help you contact them, with your permission.
If we’re made aware of an individual who has attended an in-person worship service and tests positive for COVID, we will inform everyone that was in attendance that day. However, we will not violate the individual’s privacy by disclosing their name. If you were in close contact with this individual, you will have been contacted.
